My colleagues at the literary blog WarrenAdler.com and myself came up with a reading book list to celebrate the season of scares, Halloween. Horror and supernatural thrillers are not my thing but it was fun to create a list that are mostly composed of classic literature. Definitely, I'm adding Frankenstein and Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde on my "To-Read" list. Check out the list below and if you get a chance, purchase a copy on Amazon. Novels:
Dracula by Bram Stoker
Frankenstein by Mary Shelley
Death in Venice by Thomas Mann
Misery by Stephen King
American Psycho by Bret Easton Ellis
I Am Legend by Richard Matheson
The Road by Cormac McCarthy
Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde by Robert Louis Stevenson
The Picture of Dorian Gray by Oscar Wilde
Dr. Faustus by Christopher Marlowe
The Inferno by Dante Alighieri
The Pearl by John Steinbeck
1984 by George Orwell
Short Stories:
The Catbird Seat by James Thurber
The Handsomest Drowned Man in the World by Gabriel Garcia Marquez
A Very Old man with Enormous Wings by Gabriel Garcia Marquez
