Today is President Benigno Aquino III’s 50th day in office, mid-way through the so-called “honeymoon period” with the public and the media.The questions now are these:
- Has the Aquino presidency done anything meaningful so far?
- Are you so far satisifed with how he is managing government?
- Do you think he should do more?
For one, his corrupt and tyrannical predecessor Gloria Macapagal Arroyo continues to evade accountability. She now holds court in Congress where her crimes and political record may not be mentioned.
Some say Aquino is wasting precious political capital by not doing anything profound and by not initiating bold reform measures.
